- New 3D Mesh - Rudi
It`s in 3D Graphics - Character
Rudi.
A sack race sportsman. It is made of several parts. Eyes, teeth and bag
are separate pieces. It is easier to rig that way. And i doubt anyways
that somebody except me really needs the bag. It is nevertheless
included :)
This character is also the point where i finally
migrate to Blender 2.5. At least for the parts where Blender is the
better app. The bones system is such a part. Finally a really working
solution. Even when it`s a bit hard to rig and to animate. I also
quarrel a bit with the Blender internal render engine. No GI yet. But
it could be worse :)
And i have found a new hobby. Writing
Blender Bug reports, hehe :)

debug feature. It was possible to reset the high score. Fixed. Sorry in
case you lost an important high score that way :)

here comes the snail. The zipfile contains all texture variations for
the game, plus the meshes as low poly and as SDS versions. Animations
are missing. The rig is not exportable. It gets destroyed while export.

- New Game - Snailrace - Halo Remover goes full version

My first flash game. Something very simple. Try to
reach the goal as fast as possible, by pressing spacebar as fast as
possible.
At the upper border of the playfield you can see what
the cabbage was good for. I will upload the snails in the next days
too. I skip the beta stage, i think i`ve catched everything this time :)
No more quirk in Halo remover found. And no
reports about bugs or quirks neither. So i declare the latest version
1.0.1 to the Full version. Have fun :)

I`ve started a little test project to learn the basics of Unity 3D.
A little flight simulator. It`s finished enough that you can takeoff,
fly around and land.

I am still at
learning the basics of Unity. And this will last a while. This hasn`t
stopped me from making a first tutorial for Unity. The tutorial covers
the Projector Blob Shadows. There`s quite a few things you need to take
into account until they do what they should.
The tutorial comes
as a flash video. Which is another new thing at my page. I hope you
like it :)

Samuel has
pointed me
to some wrong working links. Affected was some stuff in the 3D Graphics
/ Misc section, and the leaf textures in the Texture section. Many
thanks for the report. Should be fixed now :)
While still at it,
and because the tool does what it should, i declare the current version
of Simple Alphachanneler to the full version.
Further roadmap:
on with learning Unity. I still plan to do a 3D game in the future :)

What`s 3d
withouth
textures? Correct. That`s why i have prepared and collected my
self-made/self-pictured textures, and opened a new category for it.
It can be found in 3D graphics.
It`s not this much. And it`s not
my goal to rival with pages like
CGtextures or Mayang. But there are nevertheless above 90 textures
available now. Have fun :)

27.1.2010 - Forum maintenance
The
work is nearly done. The move to PHPBB3 was successful, and the new
forum is online. I have, while at it, also corrected some old mistakes.
The number of categories has shrinked a bit.
The link to the
forum has changed. You should change your bookmarks in case you had
bookmarked the forum

The
old forum is still available, the categories are closed though. And the
old forum will disappear within a short time period. I just keep it
online as a last backup until eveything is finally resolved and can`t
go wrong anymore.

I
have decided to upgrade my forum software from PHPBB2 to PHPBB3 because
of Spambot problems. The old PHPBB2, which i currently use, is out of
development since eons, and so there is no way to make it secure again.
I
have switched the forum into a read only modus until the conversion is
done. I keep my fingers crossed that everything works as thought ...

I
found and fixed one last little problem. And i have implemented a
missing sample. The game over had no sound. More bugs weren`t reported,
and i haven`t found anything more to fix neither. So Johnny Divoe goes
full version. It can be found in the games section now.

Found
something more to fix. A user reported about trouble that you cannot
adjust the volume of the sounds. Currently you were just able to adjust
the volume of the gamesong. Implemented now.
Means the game
stays in beta for a few more days :)
I
have reuploaded the divermesh. Problems with Gimp. Again and again this
graphics software traps me by its automatically generated 32 bit. Like
in this case. Whoosh, bitmap texture has 32 Bit. The texture is 24 bit
now again.

Time
to cleanup now. I made a heap of new grapics for this game. So look
forward to the next few days. I will convert and upload them now, one
after another. And then there was my little helpertool which i wanted

As you can see, the page got a new look.

fixed width now.
Old colors are history.The design is brighter and friendlier.

is dead, long live trueSpace. The development is stopped, and now we
get thrown with Community Updates and new plugins :)
I have updated my trueSpace

List. Useful new plugin is the OBJ importer from Froo for example,
exporter is in development. And i have added a new important category. tS
7.61 Community fixes. trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8 was released ander an
enourmous time pressure. Which leaded to new bugs. Some of the plugins
developers from the community tries to fix this bugs now. The
weightpaint for example is broken. Which gets fixed by a patch from
trueBlue. I recommend all trueSpace 7.61 B8 users to install these
patches therefore.

- Caligari`s trueSpace develppment stopped
Microsoft, owner of
Caligari's trueSpace has
stopped the development of my favourite 3D Render and animation
software trueSpace because
of the bad economic situation. As a
last present Caligari has released the
latest Beta version of trueSpace.
All
official support ends today. The official webpage, the official forum
plus the downloads will stay for minimum 5 more months though.

trueSpace
accompanies me since years. I made all my graphics with it. And i was
even a beta tester for a while now. I will really miss this part, even
when it was unbelievable time consuming here and there. Well, now i
